Stinson Book Talks

The year is 1900; the place is Galveston, Texas, the booming city of a brand new century.  Seth and his family have moved to Galveston to take advantage of all the opportunities.  Seth wants to become a carpenter like his father, but his father wants him to go to college and become a doctor.  Seth gets a job on a building crew and loves it.  He has decided to tell his father what he wants to do with his life.  But before he can talk to his father, the wind picks up, the rain begins and Galveston is hit by the worst hurricane in its history.
